Prior to the Civil War, prosperous Creole families enjoyed an elegant lifestyle in the Vieux Carré. Walk through this meticulously restored residence and experience the Golden Age of New Orleans.

Built in 1831, HERMANN-GRIMA HOUSE is one of the most significant residences in New Orleans. This handsome Federal mansion with its courtyard garden boasts the only horse stable and functional 1830s outdoor kitchen in the French Quarter.

Painstakingly restored to its original splendor through archaeological studies and careful review of the building contract and inventories, the museum complex accurately depicts the gracious lifestyle of a prosperous Creole family in the years from 1830 to 1860.

The Bourbon Pub / Parade is New Orleans’ largest gay nightclub. Operating continuously since 1974, it is the epicenter of the New Orleans gay and lesbian community, and is located at the corner of Bourbon and St. Ann Streets. The club is actually two venues under one roof. The Bourbon Pub video bar is located downstairs and features 100% digital state-of-the-art HDTV video and audio. Recently described as “the most influential video bar in the country” by Creative Video Consulting (which is the Billboard of music video), the Bourbon Pub is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Located upstairs, the Parade is New Orleans’ leading gay dance club. Marigny Theatre

The Marigny Theatre has developed a rich history by hosting over 100 productions since its debut in 2000. Once the local spot for GLBT theatre, the new management associated with AllWays Lounge has broadened the scope of works at the theatre to represent New Orleans’ diverse theatre community. Annually, the theatre produces the Saints & Sinners Playwriting Competition’s winning play and participates in the New Orleans Fringe Festival and State of the Nation Festival.
