John Whittier Treat
John Whittier Treat lives in Seattle. His first novel, The Rise and Fall of the Yellow House, was a finalist for the Lambda Literary Foundation Award for Best Gay Fiction in 2016. His short story, “The Pond,” earned the 2018 Christopher Hewitt Award. He is currently an MFA candidate in creative writing at Antioch University Los Angeles, where he is working on a novel about a stutterer who saves the world, First Consonants.
