Franklin Abbott is a poet and community organizer living in Atlanta. He founded the Atlanta Queer Literary Festival and is an original radical faerie. He is editor of three anthologies on men and masculinity and his new book will be his third volume of poetry. The first two are titled Mortal Love and Pink Zinnia. His papers are collected in the Women and Gender Collections in the archives at Georgia State University where he volunteers as an oral historian. He recently traveled to India where he participated in poetry readings in New Delhi and Chandigarh. A CD of his original songs and poems, Don’t Go Back To Sleep, will also be available at the festival.
