David Bergman is the author or editor of 20 books, but Plain Sight is his first book of poetry in 25 years. During this time he has written books on The Violet Quill writers, The Violet Hour and The Poetry of Disturbance: The Discomforts of Post-war American Poetry, as well as edited Edmund White’s The Burning Library and John Ashbery’s Reported Sightings. His poetry has appeared in Poetry, The Yale Review, The New Republic, The Kenyon Review and the Paris Review.
