Mala Kumar

Mala Kumar is the author of the 2014 novel, The Paths of Marriage. Her second novel, titled What it Meant to Survive, will be published in October 2024. Her writings have appeared in The Advocate, TechCrunch, USA Today, The Guardian, and several South Asian publications, including CNN India, The Aerogram, and Brown Girl Magazine. Mala is a global leader in tech for social good, and has worked for the Microsoft-owned company, GitHub, and for the United Nations in 20+ countries. She lives in New York City with her wife.
