Kent Quaney holds a PhD in creative writing from the University of Southern Mississippi Center for Writers, and a Master of Letters from the University of Sydney, Australia. His first novel, One Breath from Drowning, the story of a closeted Mormon man coming out while studying overseas in Sydney, recently won the Brodie Award for fiction, and his short stories have appeared in Literally Stories, Polari, RiversEdge, and other journals. He is currently an Assistant Professor and the Coordinator of Creative Writing at Auburn University at Montgomery.
