Becka Robbins

Becka Robbins is the founder and director of Books Not Bans, which sends needed, popular LGBT titles to community groups in conservative parts of America. Books Not Bans also throws parties celebrating authors or themes with dramatic readings and drag. They’ve also thrown book packing parties, bike rides to bookstores, and readathon dance parties. Books Not Bans has been written about in the LA Times, Guardian U.K., CBS National, and NPR, and other publications. In addition to founding Books Not Bans, Becka is the events producer at a queer bookstore in San Francisco. She has a dog, a spouse and musical tendencies, and is from Los Angeles.
